History
Humble Beginnings and Great Milestones
The humble beginnings of Jetbest began in 1983 with the name, JET Enterprise, a family enterprise offering poultry equipment chicken feeders and wire guards to walk-in customers like. It sold veterinary products from well-known suppliers such as Bayer, Pfizer, Belman, Univet and the like. Not long after, Jetbest expanded its distribution in various towns within Batangas, Laguna and Quezon serving small to medium-sized dealers.
The first batch of Jetbest branded veterinary products composed of water solubles and feed premixes were launched catering to the backyard market. These products are composed of Versuvite, Fortadec, Osmolyte, Calcium Plus, Todo Gain, & Chlormix 10.
The name "Jetbest Multi-lines Corporation" was registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission coinciding with the completion of 180 sq. m. warehouse for corn-milling operation and a separate office along National Road Maraouy, Lipa City, Batangas.
The company ventured into another related field, that is, feed milling with Fighting Cock Feeds as its pilot project. The brand name BUENA SUERTE started to emerge and became one of the top selling brand in Batangas, Mindoro, Laguna and Quezon. Barely 2 years after its introduction to the market.
Jetbest decided to expand its feed lines by introducing the "Jetstar Specialty Feeds" such as Chick Booster and Biik Booster in 1993 after realizing the potential of the market and the growing needs of its customers. Additional Swine & Poultry rations were introduced the following year that completed the JETSTAR FEEDS line. Demands for the products continuously increased that called for the construction of a new feedmill.
In July 1997, Jetbest transferred its Jetstar Mash Line to a new production site with a 900 sqm building. The following year, it started production of pellet feeds by adding a CPM 10 TPH pellet line. By then, the new Jetstar Feed mill was operating in full capacity, producing swine and poultry feeds. The whole feed production process was semi-automated with the installation of pneumatic control and devices.
A large storage facility was built with 2 new silos that started to operate the same year with the capacity of 1,200 metric tons each. The silos were used to store corn and feed wheat.
Jetbest started to invest in its own truck scale for reliable weighing of incoming and outgoing stocks particularly raw materials.
Jetstar Feeds Center or factory outlets branched out in strategic locations which gave birth to JETBEST ANIMAL NUTRITION CENTER in San Juan, Batangas followed by other branches in Cuenca, Batangas (August 2003), Padre Garcia, Batangas (May 2004), Lemery, Batangas (July 2008), Taysan, Batangas (October 2008), and Tiaong, Quezon (January 2009).
Another office building was constructed in the same area located in National Road, Maraouy, Lipa City. Employees moved to the new building in October 2008 with brand new office equipments and modern design.
A new fully automated plant with a 20 TPH capacity pellet line by Buhler was commissioned.
Jetbest launched “Jetbest Foundation for Socio-Economic Transformation” with its pilot project: GABAY ISKOLAR Educational Assistance Program to serve as a medium for individuals, organizations and institutions in extending their help to our less privileged brothers and sisters in the community. On its first year, JETBEST FOUNDATION was able to provide educational assistance and school supplies allowance to 67 scholars in the province of Batangas. The foundation also conducted livelihood training activities and non-formal education projects among parents of its scholars.
Buena Suerte Gamefowl Nutrition began product development and improvements to cater the growing industry of gamefowls in the country. Buena Suerte rebranded its logo and product offerings by providing a complete line of base grains with a tri-feeding formula that will give gamefowls their nutritional requirements from maintenance to pre-conditioning to conditioning.
The 1ST JETSTAR PARTNERS CONGRESS was held with the theme: "Advancing Nutrition to Maximize Livestock Performance and Support Business Profitability". It was an event showcasing the best that Jetstar Animal Feeds has to offer: the best products— Jetstar Swine Nutrition, Jetstar Poultry Nutrition, Jetstar Ruminants, Jetstar Monkey—and the best services, people, promotions, innovations.
The same year, the re-launch of Buena Suerte Gamefowl Nutrition’s well-known brand of Ready-Mix Feeds had its trade launch at the World Gamefowl Expo! Buena Suerte PROPEL 22/10 Ready-Mix Feeds was launched to highlight the brand’s new and improved products that combines pellets and grains that are guaranteed fresh, clean and all-natural that empower gamefowls their excellent body conformation sought by winning breeders.
Seeing the demand of pet care and ownership, Jetbest ventured into a 2 TPH extrusion plant that produces floating pellets for Aqua feeds and food for companion animals. This paved the way to the development of WHOOPPY! Dog Food with the goal of producing finest nourishment and precise nutrition for dogs of all breeds. On the same year, 2 Famsun silos with 1,500 metric tons capacity each was constructed.
Jetbest introduced The King of Superior Conditioning Feeds – DERBY KING! Derby King is the brand’s first conditioning feeds of the Buena Suerte brand that provides superior conditioning nutrition for game fowls.
BIRDY BLEND, the company’s own brand of mixed bird seeds, was launched to cater to the potential of domestic birds in the country. brand of Mixed Bird Seeds that offers the ideal Formula for breeding and healthy birds!
A new 5 TPH Extrusion Line was built to meet the growing market of Whooppy! Dog Food and other companion animals. The construction of 1800 sqm warehouse was also completed for a new drying facility. On its 40th year as Your Best Partner for Best Solutions, Jetbest Animal Nutrition and Health Care Inc. truly came a long way - from its humble beginning as a single store in Lipa City, Batangas – Jetbest now serves partners in Luzon and now has presence in Visayas & Mindanao!
